 Situated at the southernmost tip of Africa, where the majestic Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet, the Agulhas Country Lodge is the perfect location from which to explore this picturesque and rugged coastline.
The establishment is constructed of local lime-stone to blend in with its magnificent mountainside setting. Each of the eight charmingly decorated en-suite bedrooms features a private balcony with spectacular sea views, while two also boast jacuzzis baths.
The cosy bar with its aviation/maritime theme and restaurant are warmly welcoming and the cuisine emphasises fresh ingredients and mouth-watering local fish bought daily from the nearby harbour.
The Agulhas Country Lodge is the ideal setting for whale watching from July to December, but also offers guests a host of other leisure activities, from fishing or sightseeing boat trips and shipwreck diving, to bird-watching, fynbos hiking trails and beach safaris by Landrover. In addition to guided tours and 13 different self-drive day trips, guests can also experience adrenaline-charged quad-bike trails, or play a leisurely game of golf at nearby Bredasdorp.
