Tangala Camp - Thornybush Private Nature Reserve

Tangala is one of the last remaining authentic african experiences in South Africa that have been a legacy of the family for more than 3 generations. This intimate and exclusive private safari camp is situated in the 22 000 acre Thornybush Private Nature Reserve, a prime ecological area abounding in wildlife. Tangala is close (20min) to the Orpen Gate of the Kruger National Park.

Accommodation at the camp will bring back memories of a bygone era of the "Colonial Africa" long forgotten. The five twin bedded thatched chalets have been interior designed to provide the ultimate in rustic luxury. All chalets have en suite facilities and its own private viewing patio.

Our camp is electricity free. Cooking is performed on either gas or open fire. Meals are social occasions and a time to listen and share fascinating tales of the bush or to sit back and reflect on the day passed. Meals include a full breakfast/brunch, high tea, snacks and boma dinner. 3 Star Graded Game Lodge by TGCSA.

Game viewing at Tangala is of high standard. Guests can expect to see lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and other general game on game drives.
