Today, the old manor house is a museum displaying period furniture and paintings. The Cloete Wine Cellar from the year 1791 is also open to visitors. Here, mainly winemaking tools are exhibited. Daily wine tastings are held in Bertram's Cellar where wine and souvenirs are for sale from 10 to 5. Cellar Tours start hourly from 10 to 4 o'clock. Tel: +27 (21) 794-5128. There are two restaurants, the informal Tavern Restaurant and the exclusive Jonkershuis Restaurant, which serves Cape-Malay and classical cuisine. New on Buitenverwachting is the Café Le Petite, which offers light snacks and desserts, with an Austrian flair. Very popular is the "Picnic Basket", a sumptious lunch enjoyed on the beautiful lawn. The wine estate of Klein Constantia has belonged, for many generations, to the Jooste family. Klein Constantia is open for wine tasting and sales on weekdays from 9 to 5, saturdays from 9 to 1.
