Beaches
Camps Bay Beach is safe and good for swimming. Children enjoy the tidal pool while the northern part is great for surfing. There is a stretch of lawn just in front of the beach where people enjoy picnics. People from all walks of life meet here, especially the younger generations. The beaches of Clifton are regarded to be quite posh. They are very beautiful and much better protected against the wind than Camps Bay beach.
 Entertainment
The best restaurants in Camps Bay are the Codfather (Sushi, seafood), the Blues, the new Summerhill and Tides (all Mediterranean) in the famous Bay Hotel.
La Med is a popular nightclub in Bantry Bay between Camps Bay and Clifton.
Pieter Toerien's little Theatre on the Bay is the right place for lovers of English Boulevard theatre. It also stages concerts and boasts an excellent restaurant and delightful Cabaret Café upstairs, where guests can enjoy a stunning view of the sea, the mountains and the night lights.Tel 021-438 3301.
