 Horseback Riding
The Sleepy Hollow Riding Stables offer rides through the dunes and along the beach to Kommetjie. The horses are in very good condition. There are also horses for beginners and children available. Lessons can be arranged Tel 021-7892341.
 Dining
The Red Herring Trading Post lies at the road to the beach under dense Milkwood trees There is, besides an art gallery, studio, a pottery and nursery, a restaurant and pub with seaview from the deck and a coffeeshop with exquisite cake. Tel 021-7891783.
Whoever is interested in really excellent food, should visit the restaurant of the Monkey Valley Resort (Thorfynn's). They prepare finest cuisine with organically grown ingredients. Enjoy a wonderful view of the sea and the dunes. Early booking recommended. Tel 021-789 1391.
 A favourite, especially amongst South African families is the Noordhoek Farm Village, situated on the main road to the Chapman's Peak. Children can ride on ponies and horses, climb in a jungle gym, tractor included. There are some shops for clothes, bric-a-brac and curios, two restaurants and a pub (with pub lunches).
