![]() The access to the penguin colony at Boulders Beach lies just south of Simon's Town. It falls under the administration of Cape Nature Conservation and belongs to the Cape Peninsula National Park. Swimming is very good in the shallow and warm water of this wind-protected bay and one can often enjoy their day in the company of the pompous little penguins. Its a great beach for small children. It is best to go during low tide because then, the beach is at it's widest. Entrance fee is R10 and children pay half. Opening hours:daily from 8 to 5, in summer to 6 o'clock. Tel 021-7865786. ![]() The Simon's Town Museum in Court Road is open weekdays from 9 to 16 and saturdays from 10 to 4 o'clock. It documents the history of Simon's Town. Also worth seeing is the SA Naval Museum on the premises of the marine base, where even a submarine can be seen. Open daily from 10 to 4. Entrance free.Tel 021-7874635. |
